Using Perusall
Most of the reading assignments for this course will be done through an online resource called Perusall. Perusall displays PDF documents, but also
- allows annotation of text, both private and for others to read
- allows interactive commentary on texts—you can read and respond to what other people have commented, and this can deepen everyone’s reading
- has an AI that distills the most asked questions and talked-about topics, which will then be drawn from in our live Zoom sessions (attendance optional)
We are using Perusall as an opportunity for you to interact with your fellow classmates. Accordingly, you will need to sign up for a free Perusall account for the readings. To begin the process, visit perusall.com and then select "Log in" at the top to sign up. When the course begins, you will get an access code to find the readings.
